in situ is an ongoing series I started rebuilding in 2002, with roots stretching back to childhood. I unearth and collect discarded and lost objects, and natural ephemera, combining them with used palettes and photographs to make new spaces where the past and present intersect.

The boxes become housing for things often in a state of decay, a catalogue of evidence, an invisible narrative. By combining these disparate items with photographs of dendrite-like branches, I allow myself to see familiar things in new ways, and to examine the intricate interconnectedness of environment, history, and memory.
