It was spring. The birds were foraging, building nests in cavities & trees, delineating space with their optimism. Considering their endeavors, as well as our shared environmental predicament, I began stitching and creating nests for the cast & carved erythrocytes I had been making obsessively, building hollows and housing for the metastasis of hope.
